Oyster Vinaigrette Mignonette that's bar none! If you're looking for fun raw oyster topping, or you prefer a sauce for your cooked oysters - you've got to try this Mediterranean-style mignonette with red wine vinegar, fresh garlic, olive oil, and sumac. It pairs great with any type of oyster - cooked or raw!
In a small bowl, stir red wine vinegar, olive oil, sumac, garlic, and salt, until combined.
Pour about a teaspoon into each oyster.
Add more or less if you prefer.
Notes
Make ahead and store in the fridge for a few hours for the flavors to meld. Sumac substitute is ½ teaspoon of freshly grated lemon zest. Though will taste slightly different, since sumac is a middle eastern spice that has a deeper citrus flavor than typical lemon.*vinaigrette calories are only an estimate.
